Case 7: P&G / The Gillette Company
Situation:
The existing process water system located in P&G/Gillette Powerhouse exchanges process (cooling) water with sea water from four point channel in order to provide cooling water for various process loads with varies temperature and flow requirements throughout the facility. Heat exchanger used in water system was having major corrosion problem because of sea water.
The Approach:
Panorama was designed a heat exchanger utilizing titanium alloy on the tube side. Titanium has its elevated resistance to localized attack and stress corrosion in aqueous chlorides (e.g., brines, seawater). Panorama also procured heat exchanger.
Result:
Heat exchanger designed by Panorama solved corrosion problem in addition it provides high efficiency and reliability.
